Description

The installer of Content Transfer (for Windows) provided by Sony Corporation contains an issue with the DLL search path, which may lead to insecurely loading Dynamic Link Libraries (CWE-427).

Impact

Arbitrary code may be executed with the privileges of the installer.

Solution

Do not execute the installer
The developer states that the download service for the product has already ended.
If the affected installer exists in the device, delete the installer. Be sure to check there are no suspicious files in the same directory where the installer resides if the affected installer is being executed.
