Description

7-Zip for Windows is an open source compression and decompression software.  The installer of 7-Zip for Windows contains an issue with the DLL search path, which may lead to insecurely loading Dynamic Link Libraries.

Impact

Arbitrary code may be executed with the privilege of the user invoking the installer.

Use the Latest Installer
Use the latest installer according to the information provided by the developer.
This vulnerability has been addressed in 7-Zip for Windows 16.0.3.
